Restructuring and extension of networks in Benin

Building on its experience in Benin and its expertise in the field of overhead networks, RMT will carry out a contract for the Benin Electric Power Company (SBEE) to reinforce and extend the MV/LV electrical grids in the municipality of Abomey-Calavi and the Atlantic Administrative District.

The works will include installing 20,000 concrete poles, 800 km of LV overhead cable, 330 km of Almelec cable, 40 MV/LV substations, 85 pole-mounted transformers, 4,000 street lighting fixtures and 37,000 subscriber connections. The project will have to be completed in 24 months.
