New substations and commissioning operations for Clemessy Morocco

New Kenitra North 60/20kV substation for the Kenitra Autonomous Water and Electricity Authority

On 26th April 2015 the Northern Regional Transport Authority and System Operator, as well as the Kenitra Intercommunal Water and Electricity Authority carried out the energising of a new Kenitra North 60/20kV substation with an installed capacity of 2x36 MVA.

This project falls within the scope of the strategy to reinforce the works of the transmission network, aiming in particular to support the sustained high growth in demand for electricity, particularly in the town of Kenitra, and to improve the quality of service to customers.
The works carried out by CLEMESSY MOROCCO within the framework of this project, are as follows:

  • 60/20 kV substation comprised of two 60kV outgoing feeder bays;
  • Two 60/20 KV transformer bays with a capacity of 36 MVA each;
  • MV building comprising 12 prefabricated MV cubicles;
  • 60 kV extension to the Fouarat and Maamora substations.

Commissioning of the extension to the 60/22 kV substation at Tit Mellil in Morocco

Within the framework of the work to support the sustained growth in demand for electricity in the region of Greater Casablanca and improving the quality of service, on 6th May 2015 the Centre Casablanca Transport Department, System Operator and Casablanca Regional Distribution Department, carried out the energising of the 60/22 kV extension to the Tit Mellil substation to reach an installed capacity of 3 X 40 MVA.

The work completed by CLEMESSY MOROCCO within the framework of this project, is as follows:

  • a 60/22 kV transformer bay with a capacity of 40 MVA;
  • a 22 kV incoming feeder;
  • an indoor type MV substation with 8 open cubicles;
  • extension to the control room and the battery room;
  • extension to the low-voltage sections including the servo-controlled Station.
