The company LCT (Lomé Container Terminal) awarded RMT, a subsidiary of the Group, specialising in exports and firmly established on the African continent, the contract for the engineering, supply, and erection of the electrical equipment for the new container terminal at the port of Lomé in Togo.
RMT will carry out the installation of the 15.5 MVA emergency generator sets, the MV and LV electricity supply, the lighting as well as the communications.
The new infrastructure will allow large container ships to enter the port of Lomé and to transfer the containers heading to countries in the sub-region, the centre and the south-west on smaller capacity ships (feeders). The terminal will be able to handle one and a half million containers a year on the 1,050 metres of docks and accommodate 3 to 4 ships simultaneously.
