RMT equips drinking water boreholes in TOGO

15.10.2015

After numerous borehole equipment projects completed successfully in BENIN, RMT is starting a bore hole equipment project in TOGO.

The Drinking Water and Sanitation Company for urban and semi-urban areas (SP-EAU), has awarded RMT with the contract to build and equip 10 boring facilities and the remote management/transmission systems for 21 sites to strengthen the supply of drinking water in the city of LOME and the surrounding areas.

The works consist in building 10 new pumping stations, extending the MV line, strengthening the Cacavelli sewage treatment plant, the equipment for the remote management/ transmission of 21 borehole facilities (new and existing ones), the electrical refurbishment and the instrumentation of 3 water towers.

In this respect, RMT will handle the following:

  • The installation of 2.5 km of HV lines, top-of-pole mounted transformers,
  • The hydro-mechanical equipment : pumps immersed up to a depth of 110m, cast iron piping and fittings up to DN150, water meters equipped with transmitting head, anti-water hammer tanks up to 3 m³,
  • The electrical equipment and remote management controllers and radio cabinets.

The electrical, hydro-mechanical and remote management engineering is carried out in Kehl.

The erection and commissioning work is carried out by the RMT-Togo teams who have now acquired real expertise in these fields of activity.
