POOL Project, Congo

RMT is currently working for the Direction Générale des Grands Works (DGGT) in the Congo on an electrification project for 6 chief towns in the region of Pool (sub-region of Brazzaville).

For this project, RMV is in charge of the electrical and civil engineering, the procurement, the building and the commissioning of all the installations.

In order to supply the local network, 6 power plants equipped with generator sets will be built in the 6 chief towns and delivered on a turn-key basis. RMV is also installing all the HVA and LV distribution networks as well as the public lighting.

Some figures:

  • 6 turn-key power plants with production building, housing and associated works
  • 8 500kVA generator sets and coupling cabinets
  • 4 step-up transformers (04/20 kV–630 kVA)
  • 9 substations with transformers
  • 11 HVA switchboards
  • 79 km of overhead electricity supply network
  • 750 250W luminaires and 600 solar-powered luminaires with LEDs for the public lighting
