RMT reinforces its expertise in the field of port infrastructure

21.05.2013

The company LCT (Lomé Container Terminal) has just awarded RMT, our subsidiary specialising in export projects and well established on the African, with the engineering, supply and erection of the electrical equipment for the new container terminal at the port of Lomé in Togo. RMT will carry out the installation of the 15.5 MVA emergency gensets, the medium-voltage and low-voltage power distribution, the lighting and communications.

The purpose of the project is the construction and operation of a container terminal in the port of Lomé within the framework of a concession granted to LCT.

The new infrastructure will enable large container ships to enter the port of Lomé and to transship the containers to countries in the sub-region, the centre and the south west using small capacity vessels (feeders). The terminal will be able to handle one and half million containers a year on the 1,050 metres of docks and accommodate 3 to 4 ships simultaneously.
