Emergency work at the Qods Amendis substation for Veolia Morocco

Following a fire at the Qods Amendis source substation which led to total black-out in the town of Tétouan for over 2 hours, Clemessy Morocco was asked to take emergency action and set up a temporary 60/20 kV transformer facility.

In order to do so, Clemessy Morocco handled the following:

• Loading, transporting and unloading an existing 20MVA transformer from the « Chef Laakab » substation in Amendis Tangiers to the Qods substation in Tétouan
• Supplying all the HV/MV/LV equipment necessary to upgrade the transformer span
• The erection and connection works for this transformer span
• The electrical and functional tests
• Putting the 20 MVA transformer into service
